Company Description
A new leaf style? - If I could put it into a few words it would be rustic modern. I am a huge fan of free form, asymmetrical shapes. Similar to how plants and flowers grow in nature - the way they stretch towards the sun.
As much as I can I try to use greens and flowers from my garden and sometimes forage for locally grown ingredients (especially from the grounds of outdoor wedding sites - if possible). Flower colors I gravitate towards are soft muted pinks, lavender, coral, and off white which include garden roses, ranunculus, hydrangea, lisianthus, stock, to name a few. I like to include seeds, berries, branches, vines and various contrasting greens to give texture which highlight florals.
Use of flowing silk ribbon, rustic jute, and vintage lace on the bouquets add elegance and inclusion of sentimental jewelry pieces (ie Grandmother’s Cameo) make it personalized.
I find beauty in lush floral bouquets but also in a simple greenery table runner.
All my life I have been involved in floral design, through foraging and creating as a young child, weddings and special occasions for family and friends, and now professionally trained working out of my studio. Although I do have a distinct style my main focus is on understanding a client’s vision and working together to create wedding florals that they love and will create amazing wedding day memories!
